Beschreibung

In this teaching unit about Julius Caesar, emphasis is placed on the meaning of the conquest of Gaul (55-50 BCE) in terms of the ‘unification of the Mediterranean peoples under Roman rule and Greek learning’, and presented as an important event in European history. For the first time, the ‘Atlantic side of Europe’ became part of this history.
